Use of Technology in Management during COVID-19

“Technology does not prevent infectious diseases; However, it helps local people to prevent spread, warn and educate about the situation and reduce the impact.”

In today's business world, the only way to make a business successful is to understand and manage the technologies that lead to business success and identify potential challenges for those technologies. With the current Covid-19 status, companies are more dependent on technology to create effective business practices. As technology advances day by day, the industry is becoming increasingly less competitive with non-digital options. State-of-the-art technology provides many power tools and applications that administrators can use to monitor management communications and workloads. Many of these solutions enable employee training through work line workshops, and downtown FAQs make implementation easier than ever and ultimately increase employee productivity.

Given below are a few ways through which technology has helped us :

 A) Video conferencing systems

Services like Skype and other video conferencing systems help managers stay in touch with remote employees & clients over the Internet in real time. There are programs that include chat rooms, discussion groups and forums, and Google+ hangouts that allow them to have a more personal relationship with their employees than using previous methods

Right technology helps to promote collaboration, maximize efficiency, achieve the best business results, and properly orient employees.

 B) Finding Drugs

Today, the world is looking for ways to stop the spread of coronaviruses and find effective treatments. Technology is becoming an enabler to speed up the process. AI plays an important role in proposing vaccine ingredients by understanding the protein structure of viruses and enabling medical researchers to browse dozens of related research papers at an unprecedented pace.

C) Increasing traceability and transparency

In terms of pandemic management, big data analytics can help identify infected individuals quickly, connect with them, track who they have come in contact with, and so on. Facial recognition technology with CCTV cameras can help identify infected people who break the rules and move out despite being isolated

Microsoft Bing launches an interactive COVID-19 map to provide in-depth coverage of the disease in the news and the Arogya Setu app of India is also too helpful

D) Helps the Common Man

The result is widespread chaos, panic buying, procurement of essential items, price increases, road violence, discrimination, conspiracy theories, and so on. To minimize misinformation, companies such as Google, Facebook and YouTube work tirelessly to get people to the right, verifiable information published by WHO or local authorities and the government. By providing accurate information to all, a transparent scenario can be created and employees can be informed about the right actions to take.

E) Helps in Shaping Young Minds

Despite of the Covid 19 situation, the Universities and Colleges have gradually started to function in a smooth way. This is because of the spread of easily accessible technology in most parts of the world

Students can now sit in the comfort of their homes and continue with their education through online classes, eBooks, interactive videos and much more.

F) Connectivity

This Covid 19 pandemic is an unexpected phase which cannot be avoided yet one can use technology to prevent spread by creating awareness, educating people connected with converge of technologies such as mobile, analytics

High speed 4G, 5G internet, online news apps, live news streaming and so much more has helped the people to start engaged with the world despite of being socially distanced

G)Tracking people with facial recognition and big data
In terms of pandemic management, big data analytics can help identify infected individuals quickly, connect with them, track who they have come in contact with, and so on. Facial recognition techniques with data can correctly identify people, even if they are masked. Such techniques can help in monitoring certain movement and tracking quarantined people. It can also help keep an eye on people and find out if they are in contact with an

AI risk assessment and forecasting with artificial intelligence is becoming an important part of healthcare today & AI-based data analysis and predictive models enable the healthcare professionals by more accurate predictions can be made about the spread of diseases, drugs, treatments, etc.

Contact-less movement and deliveries through autonomous vehicles, drones and robots
Self-driving cars, drones, and robots help when human contact is avoided. With autonomous vehicles, infected people can be easily transported to health facilities without endangering the lives of healthy people. The robot can be used to provide food and kitchen utensils, disinfect hospitals and monitor roads. Drones can be used to identify infected people for food distribution, population surveillance, test kits and medicines to transport bodies for thermal imaging, disinfection, etc.

Technology supported temperature monitoring

Wireless thermometers and other infrared devices for measuring body temperature are important medical devices used in offices, airports, hotels, hospitals, train stations, shops, and other public places such as checkpoints. These technologies help measure body temperature remotely and are effective in identifying people who need further investigation. Automatic thermal monitoring with facial recognition makes the process faster and more efficient.

In today's world, technology is constantly changing. That's why it's important for businesses and businesses to integrate technology management into the strategies they use to stay productive and competitive. We strive to make our business successful and large in order to be more profitable and innovative. Without effective technology management, businesses will lag behind as competitors grow faster.
